Tribute

On Wednesday April 7, Mom went home to Jesus, the one she loved all her life. Mom was born in Abbotsford, BC, to Murdock and Joy MacKinnon. She moved with her family to Powell River when she was 13, with her older sister Fiona Kirk and brother John MacKinnon; they are now all gone. Mom performed in the first music festival held here in Powell River. How she loved music! Mom met Dad, Earling Forsberg, in Edmonton, Alberta, when she was 17. They married the following year. They then returned to Westerose, Alberta, to pastor a Swedish church. They remained there for two years before returning to Powell River. My brother Keith Forsberg was born to them there. Both Dad and Keith are gone. Patricia loved to garden and she excelled at crafts. She was always very welcoming to her guests and her potluck dinners were much appreciated by many. I, Mary Anne, her only daughter, remain with so much love for Mom. We were so close. I was so honoured to have a mother like Mom. She leaves behind her sister Jane Barcelonne; husband Mike; grandsons Dwayne Forsberg and Darryl Forsberg; her five great-grandchildren Travis, Brayden, Curtis, Scotty and Samantha Forsberg; and also her precious nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews who loved her so. I would like to thank all the nurses and staff at the ECU for all the wonderful care they gave Mom. She would always say how good you were to her. And thank you to Dr. Sally Watson for all the great care you gave Mom. God bless you all. The Forsberg family. I love you, Mom! Gone but never forgotten.
