Tribute
With sadness we announce that Pete passed away on February 7, 2013. He is survived by his daughter Lorraine Melenko, his stepchildren Linda (René) Netter, Loré Netter, Randy (Wanieta) Netter and his granddaughters Alexandra (“Muffin”) and Kacy (“Jones”). He is also survived by his brother George Melenko, sister Pearl Waywitka, Connie Melenko and many nieces and nephews. Pete was predeceased by his beloved Anne.
Pete was a long-time logger in Theodosia and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He loved watching the Toronto Blue Jays’ games with Anne and Sue, playing crib and horseshoes and trips to the casino.
Special thanks to Dr. Morwood and staff for their compassionate care over many years. Pete looked forward to visits from his home support workers; their assistance was so appreciated. When he moved to Evergreen Extended Care Unit (ECU) he found the staff to be kind and gentle with him and they appreciated his sense of humour.
