Tribute
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a great husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He loved his family, his wife of 62 years Josephine, daughter Lina, son Joe (Betty), daughter Lori (Jim) and son Frank (Joyce). He is also survived by his grandchildren Layne (Laura), Tara (Dale), Melissa (Jerome), Shauna, Jorn and Sarah, great-grandchildren Ayden, Lochlan and Sophia. Pete was predeceased by his parents, Giuseppe and Maddalena and his brothers, Enrico at age eight, Giovanni and sister Filomena. He was very sadly predeceased by his 10 year old great-grandson Zackery on September 9, 2010.
Pete was a very happy and fun-loving man and was well known around town as “Petruccio”. We love him and will miss him dearly. Thank you to Dr. Murphy for many years of wonderful care and to Dr. Naude in the recent years. Thank you to the doctors and nurses in the Powell River General Hospital emergency room and intensive care unit for your great and loving care. Thank you to Nikki and Mary for your dedicated help. Mass of Christian burial took place Monday, December 13, 2010 at the Church of Assumption with entombment at the Garden of Rest Mausoleum. A gathering of family and friends took place at the Italian Hall. Anyone wishing to make a donation may do so to a charity of your choice.

Dear Zia Giuseppina, Children & Families,
We are deeply saddened to hear of Zio Pietro’s passing. May you take comfort in knowing we are with you during this difficult time. We will miss Zio with all our hearts. Although we lived apart in distance, we will cherish the memories of the times spent together. We hold such fond memories of Zio’s laughter, sense of humour, kind and set in his ways, the happiness just to catch up with conversation, the twinkle in his eyes and zest for life will remain with us always.
