Our beloved Father Raymond Carson Osmond passed away on May 27, 2025 at Powell River General Hospital. He was born and raised in Windsor, Newfoundland. He Married Alida Joyce Green at 19 years of age , and together raised their family of four , Diane , Barry , Louise and Vincent in Bishop’s Falls, Nfld. until moving the family to Powell River, BC in 1969. Ray worked for McMillian Bloedel Paper Mill until early retirement at age 55. He then kept busy working jobs of interest and helping others. Ray loved all of his 56 years living in Powell River and all the friends he encountered along the way. Ray was predeceased by his beloved wife Joyce on September 17, 2018 and are now together again in eternity. Always in our hearts and minds, your family.

Ray and I worked in the TMP for 23 years. he was on C shift, and I was on B , Ray almost always had that great smile. loved walking to work and was always early.I remember a Sunday when we were working together, he was the number one and I was utility.
John Manuel, the Mill Manager, walked in and Ray said to him What are you doing here on Sunday, John said Ray I runs the mill . Being a friend from Newfe, I tried to get out of view. there was a large dog behind the operating desk, To which he said I sees you are getting a better class of Trainie Ray and left.
great friend I will miss him always.
