Tribute

A native son of Powell River

April 7, 1927 – March 22, 2015

It is with sadness we announce the passing of our Dad, Grandpa and Great-Grandpa, Bob Valentine. Predeceased by his parents William (Ike) and Mafalda Valentine, he leaves his children David (Lee), Tony (Mo/Maureen), Bill (Karen) and Janice (Michael), as well as many grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.

Bob was an avid hunter and fisherman and an accomplished accordion player. He worked his entire career as a papermaker for Powell River Company and then MacMillan Bloedel and retired in 1984. He then worked as a papermaker consultant in South Africa while enjoying the culture, people and countryside. After returning home to Canada he travelled BC before settling on the family property at Southview.

We would like to thank Dr. Pieter Rossouw, staff at Kiwanis Village and staff at Olive Devaud Residence for the wonderful care of Bob while he resided there the last years of his life.

There will be no service by request. Cremation by Stubberfield Funeral Home.

We will all miss you, Dad, Grandpa, and Great-Grandpa!
