Roy Brooke Lewis

Tribute
Roy Brooke Lewis passed away peacefully on August 03, 2026, after a short battle with pancreatic cancer.
Roy is survived by his loving wife Lisa, and his five sons; James (Karen) and Todd (and their mother Cheryl); Shaune (Jessica) and Keith (Angelika) (and their mother Arlette); and Matthew (William). He also leaves behind his amazing grandchildren Jorja (Graeme), Gwen, Sasha, Cole, Finbar, Joseph and Diana.
Roy was born and raised in Powell River, and worked in the mill for more than 40 years in various jobs, finishing his career as a carpenter.
Roy loved living on Marine, where he enjoyed the active view of the strait, right in front of his window. Roy and Lisa were able to travel to Australia for over six weeks this past February and March and it was definitely and adventure of a lifetime.
The family would like to thank all those who took care of Roy in his final days.

Roy will be missed by so many people his family for sure but Roy made a lot of friends throughout the community. Roy was the 1st good friend I made in Powell River. I came from Ontario in 1970 and met Roy early 1971 working on I think it was number 2 paper machine. We began a friendship that although I moved away in 73 that lasted all these 50 some years. We got together on and off over the years always getting in touch for our birthdays. Roy has a special spot in my heart and always will. I was so glad that I got to see him one last time just weeks ago. His attitude and resolve around his cancer was unbelievable. Roy was one of the really good people in our world and will be missed immensely. Lisa and family, my heart goes out to you. Hold onto all the good memories. Although there are tears now those memories are what will always bring me a smile in the years to come. Cheers my Friend John Thorington
