Tribute

I am so very sad at the sudden passing of my Rudi. We were about to celebrate our 43rd anniversary. Rudi was not just my best friend, he was also my husband, a father, grandfather and great friend. We had such fun and great “discussions” our name for them. He was a great dad, an awesome grandfather and a loyal friend. He had many very close friends and he will always be the “Mayor of Myrtle.” His three stooges know who they are.

Rudi was the most intelligent, talented man I have ever met. He could do it all, his list of accomplishments would fill a book. He built vehicles from the ground up including my ‘78 Ford shortbox. He was a builder, gardener, horseman, inventor, mechanic, plumber, electrician, teacher and handyman all rolled into one. He did not know how to fail or give up.

Rudi would help anyone, young or old. He would stop and help a stranger when we were on holidays. Rudi was very easily hurt when someone he considered a friend would cheat him but most times he would turn the other cheek, a virtue I do not possess.

As per his wishes, there was a private family service held on the farm with only his closest friends. Anyone who wishes to do so may donate to Parkinson”s Society Canada in his honour.

Rudi will be sadly missed, never forgotten and certainly never replaced. – Faye
