Tribute

Sandra Christine Cuschieri sadly passed away March 27, 2021. She was predeceased by her parents, Mary and Gerry Cuschieri, and her brother Rodney Cuschieri. Sandra is survived by her sisters Esther Munson, Anna Heinrichs, Carol Agius, Christine Cuschieri and Geraldine Cuschieri, as well as her many nieces and nephews. She is lovingly remembered by her family and many, many friends. Sandy was a survivor. We always said she had nine lives, and that she proved, over and over again. Sandy was asked for her input regarding development of the supportive housing units in Powell River. We were told the input she provided was appreciated by her peers and committee members. During Sandy’s last year, she lived in those supportive housing units. We, her family, can’t say enough about the staff and her caregivers; how wonderful and gentle they were to our sister. Thank you so much! We are so grateful that Sandy was in a safe environment with so many of her friends who regarded her as mom, aunty and sister and friend, who also loved her dearly and whom she thought of as her extended family. We were told that Sandy was their firecracker. We would also like to extend our gratitude to the many doctors and nurses who helped and supported Sandy throughout her life journey. You will be in our hearts forever.
