It is with great sadness that we announce that Sherry Lynn Makus (nee Morrissey), born January 31, 1963 in Powell River, B.C., has passed away after a short hard fought battle with cancer on January 02, 2012 at her parent’s home, surrounded by her family. Sherry leaves behind her; husband, Ian Makus; son, Broden D’Angio (Monique); daughter, Katelyn D’Angio (Terence); parents, Mr. & Mrs. John Morrissey; brothers, Robert (Cher) and Richard (Sherry); in-laws Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Makus, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. All who knew Sherry loved her immensely and it is the joyful memories of her smile, laughter, and one of kind personality that comforts those of us she has left behind. A service will be held in Campbell River, B.C., on Saturday, January 14th, 2012 at 1:00pm at the Christian Life Fellowship Church (445 Merecroft Road, Campbell River) followed by a tea and light refreshments. In lieu of flowers, we ask for donations to be made to the BC Cancer Agency. Arrangements entrusted to Stubberfield Funeral Home Ltd, to express condolences, please visit us at www.stubberfieldfh.com

We are so very sorry for the loss of such a vibrant, loving, & fun person that Sherry was. She would come into our office so full of life and in minutes we were laughing till our sides hurt. Her outlook on life was so wonderful & we remember when she told us about meeting Ian & how her life was so complete. We can’t understand how the Lord chooses His special Angels to join him in Heaven, but His gain is our loss. Sherry is at peace, free of pain, and now she will always be looking down upon her dear family and friends. We will miss you Sherry.

Sherry and I were good buddys though School at Henderson Elamentery
And though Hight school Max Cameron , Grade 81 and we would often ru into each other and she would always have a great smile and would chuckle at my exspence, I am so sorry that I could no attend Her service
I am sad that she is gone for her family and Childern and close frends
