Shirley Ruth Lee

Tribute

Shirley passed away peacefully at home with family and friends by her side. She was born in Alert Bay, eldest daughter of Jim and Edna Harding. She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years John in 2018, and survived by sons John (Ruth) and Rob, daughter Debbie (Owen) Best, grandchildren Matthew and Alycia (Oscar) Montoya, Owen and Tania (Koa), great-grandchildren Ethan, Elena and Emilia Montoya, her brother Jim (Bett Jane) and sisters Joan and Beverley. In her youth Shirley was a keen highland dancer, followed by many talents of crafting and quilting. She served on Stillwater Hall Society, Women of the Moose, Hospital Auxiliary, Powell River Genealogy Group, with the most memorable being reorganizing Senior Citizens Association Branch 49, obtaining Barowsky House then Cranberry Seniors Centre. Shirley will be missed by all who knew her.
