Stanley John Botterill

October 14, 1928 - August 28, 2013

Tribute

With family by his side, Stan passed away peacefully at the age of 84. He is survived by his daughters Pam (Clarence) Botterill in Nanaimo and Jackie (Steve) Botterill in St. Catherines, sisters Joyce Hanson in Vancouver and Jean Charney in Salmon Arm and many nieces and nephews.

Stan was born in Vancouver and moved to Powell River as a young man. He married Lorraine McMaster in 1951. He was a logger and enjoyed travelling to many camps along the West Coast. Stan later became an iron worker known for multiple large-scale projects.

In his later years, Stan enjoyed living at Kiwanis Village and Olive Devaud Residence. He loved his weekly outings to the Stroke Club. Making people laugh brought Stan great joy. He was known for his silly antics, cherished family gatherings and singing songs together.
