Sydney George Gilbert Riley

Tribute
Syd was born and raised in Powell River and chose to leave this earth on his own terms on the sunny morning of July 2, 2022. He was surrounded by family in the comfort of his home with a fabulous view of the Salish Sea. Syd was predeceased by his wife Mae in 1986, his brother Wilson (Joe) in 2020 and his daughter Linda in 2022. He is survived by daughter Brenda (Jim), sons Derek (Karen) and Kevin (Adria), six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Syd was an avid outdoor enthusiast and conservationist throughout his life and his love and vast knowledge of nature was passed down to subsequent generations. He will be greatly missed by many. A special thanks to Syd’s neighbors Rae, Sherry and Dennis for their valued friendship and support. No service by request.
