Valerie Carol Rose Danyluk
June 12, 1944 - April 22, 2012
Tribute
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Val at the age of 67 years. Val was born in Powell River to Mary and Alec Muryn. On August 18, 1962, she married Edward Danyluk. Val was a loving mother who always put her family first. She enjoyed the togetherness of holidays, particularly Christmas, where she could share her amazing and endless cooking.
She is survived by her husband, sons Eddie and Quinn, daughter-in-law Amanda, grandson Garin, sister Shirley Charlton, stepbrother Dr. Mark Shepherd, brother-in-law Elwin, and many very close nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
We would like to extend our gratitude to Dr. Lafferty, the attending physicians, and the staff and volunteers at Powell River General Hospital.
There will be no service by request. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in Val’s honour or 1.888.700.1131.

Quinn, please accept our most heartfelt sympathies for your loss…our thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time. The following quote holds true to us and as time passes I believe it will for you as well: ” I know for certain that we never lose the people we love, even to death. They continue to participate in every act, thought and decision we make. Their love leaves an indelible imprint in our memories. We find comfort in knowing that our lives have been enriched by having shared their love.” – Leo Buscaglia
