Valerie Cynthia Wigton
January 11, 1957 - October 13, 2011
Tribute
Val was born in Brampton, Ontario. She lived a life full of adventure, and was driven by her love of animals and any given challenge. She loved horses, overseas travel, tea, hiking, heavy metal music and, in her later years, dedicated her time to banish factory farming. She was very passionate about helping those in need whatever the challenge.
She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years Bruce, her three children Jason (Elsie), Steve (Tanya), Jen (Shane) and nine grandchildren Jeremy, Evangelia, Jerilyn, Joel, Damian, Kira, Zander, Charsi and Talson. She is also survived by her mother Winnie, sister Jackie (Rick), brother Bruce (Betty) and sister Michele (Roy) as well as numerous nephews and nieces.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thank you to Dr. Bonsor and all the many nurses in Powell River ICU as well as on the fourth floor. Your efforts will always be remembered.

Today Is a sad day for my brother and his family our hearts are heavy her as well but we have to look ahead and move ahead thats the only way Val would have us all be.she will be greatly missed as I have manygood memories of times spent with Val ,her dish water tea as mom would say and only Val could make it just perfect for herself,Pony club with the boys …..animals were always a part of her life . I couldnt imagine travelling from alberta with a group of birds in my mini van on the move to BC . Well val thank you for giving us good laughs in our family nest and I will miss chatting with you when visits happen Rest in peace until we meet again love always your sister in law Shelley & family
