Tribute
William (Bill) Lopez, December 19, 1932 – November 24, 2010
In our sadness we announce the passing of Bill Lopez on November 24, 2010. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Bruna, step-children, Rudy (Robyn) Lopez, Clara (Mike) Austin, of Powell River, and Daniel (Julianne) Lopez of Perth, Australia. He is also survived by his sister Pamela of Dublin, Ireland.
Bill immigrated to Canada from Ireland in 1957, and spent many years working at the Powell River mill. Bill enjoyed many activities and loved to travel. He was an avid tennis player and cyclist and a talented musician. Bill loved to play his music at the many events and festivals in Powell River.
A special thank you to Dr. Danielle Marentette for her kind care, and to all of the nurses at Olive Devaud Residence for their kindness and understanding. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, December 02, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. from the Westview Baptist Church.
