It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of David Henry Doucette Jr. on February 24, 2024 in Powell River, British Columbia at the age of 54.

Dave was a funny and kind-hearted person who loved to crack a good joke. He had a way with making people laugh even when they didn’t want to. He cherished every moment spent with his kids whether it be camping, hiking, or staying in and watching movies; he was a proud father and grandfather. Dave could also be found with his good friends playing pool or darts and he enjoyed playing baseball since he was four years old. He will be missed by many.

Dave was born on December 30, 1969 in Halifax, Nova Scotia to the late Janet and David Doucette Sr. He is also predeceased by his older sister Judith Doucette. He will be remembered by his six children: Danielle Crosby, Chelsey Knight, Abigail (Abbie) Doucette-Low, Callen Doucette, Kaitlyne Doucette, and Logan Doucette; and grandson Rowan Murray.

A celebration of life will be held in Powell River, British Columbia on Saturday June 29, 2024 with another being held in Nova Scotia at a later date. All are welcome to come share a story about Dave and have a good laugh.
