From: Joyce Smith
Relation: Good Friend

Glenda, it’s been over 10 years since you decided it was time to join all your 4 footed friends who crossed the ‘Rainbow Bridge’ before you. I know you were greeted with numerous ‘Woof’s’ and ‘Purr’s’ as they patiently waited for you to cross the Bridge too. I think of you often my dear friend, and cherish the wonderful times we had together as we traveled to places like Tofino, Harrison Hot Springs, or a gorgeous beach south of the Border; with our faithful canine companions by our side. I remember you asking me to come for an all expense paid trip to England with you and I declined, do to my family commitments. A decision I regret. Other than your love for the water, you had a passion to help animals. In fact, that is how I met you. You had rescued a little brown dog, you found unconscious on the side of the freeway and nursed him back to health.
You named in Casey. I was looking for a canine companion to join our family. One phone call started a life long friendship and Casey (who was slightly neurotic, might I add), became part of our family. I am sure he was one of the ‘Woof’s’ greeting you, as well as little ‘Jenny’, another precious life you had rescued, who became a part of our family too. As requested of you (before you passed) your beloved companions – Laddy and Lucy – went to live with Rosemary, where they received nothing but love and attention. Trixie, your sweet feline friend, was added to our family and made the transition beautifully. I would often hold her in my arms and talk to her about you. I know she understood every word. Animals are so smart! When it was time for Laddy, Lucy and Trixie, to cross the ‘Rainbow Bridge’, it was you who welcomed them into your arms once again! I came very close myself, to joining you about 5 years ago, but the Universe obviously had other plans. But when that day does come, I know you will be waiting for me, along with many family members and of course, all the ‘Baby Babies’, canine companions, fine feathered friends and other critters, I have loved dearly throughout the years. To quote your own words Glenda: “What a bash that will be”!
