Gordon Lawrence Likar

October 27, 1948 - May 4, 2022

Tribute

With broken hearts and profound sadness, we share the passing of our loving husband and Dad, Gordon Likar.

Gord had a lifelong passion for discovery and learning that inspired us all. He was an intelligent, resourceful man who continued to amaze his family and friends with every new endeavour. His history of ambitious personal projects is truly a display of his brilliance.

He loved to ride and spent many hours touring on his recumbent trike, from the backcountry to the ocean. He carried a strong appreciation for the natural beauty that surrounds us all.

Gord leaves behind his legacy through his children Nicholas (Erin) and Mikayla (Cole). He was so incredibly proud of you both. He will be dearly missed by his partner of 37 years, Gail. (You are and always will be my “Superman”.)

Thank you to Dr. Charles Van Zyl and the incredible Doctors, Nurses and Care Aides at Powell River Hospital who supported and cared for not only Gordon, but our entire family.

He is also survived by his brothers Don (Maureen) and Bill, sisters Hazel and Eleanor as well as nephews, nieces, and in-laws.

No funeral by request.
