Dear Wanda,
I had been missing talking to your Mom and tried several times to contact her. I know she had a number of health problems. She and I wanted to visit with each other this past summer but didn’t work out. I’m very sorry for your loss. Your Mom told me that Les had passed away not long ago. Sorry for your great loss. I’m not sure if you remember me Wanda. I believe it was in the summer of 1975 that you and Les and your Mom came to Abbotsford for a visit. It was a good time – probably was the last time I saw you. I loved your Mom dearly. We were close friends in school in Melville. I was bridesmaid at her wedding. I have a lot of good memories of our times spent together. I am happy that our lives reconnected after many years of not corresponding and we shared many laughs. She was a ‘jewel’ to me.
