Larry Donald Shaw

February 3, 1928 - July 31, 2015

Tribute

Larry was born in Princeton, BC. He married the love of his life, Doris Genevie-Swanson on June 18, 1949.

He loved fishing and woodworking. Larry worked at various jobs in several towns before settling with his family in Powell River in 1961, where he worked at the mill until his retirement.

Larry was predeceased by his parents, Walter and Maria. He is survived by his wife Doris, son Donald, daughter Linda (Alan) Cross, sisters Shirley (Joe) Brown and Donna (Garry) Christiansen, cousin Audrey Thomas, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and good friends.

A special thank you to Dr. Brad Schweitzer and all the staff at the Evergreen Extended Care Unit who helped Larry through the difficult times. There is no funeral, by request. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the charity of your choice may be made, if so desired.
