It saddens our family to announce the recent passing of our mother, chi-chia, sister, auntie and friend, Rita Anne Francis, aka “Bannock Lady” from the Farmers' Market for many years. Rita is survived by her four sisters and brother, three children, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by those who loved her dearly. A celebration of life wake will be held Wednesday, February 22, 4 pm at the Salish Centre. A funeral will be held Thursday, February 23, 10:30 am at Church of the Assumption.
